About the Event
Avrom Sutzkever was one of the greatest figures in the pantheon of Yiddish poets. He was also a member of the Vilna partisans who were Jewish resistance fighters against the Nazis. He was not only a Yiddish writer, but the rescuer of writings of others from the Nazis. He was a witness at the Nuremberg trials. This talk will be a combination of history, as well as poetic readings in Yiddish, with English translation.
The event is free; donations welcome. Registration required to receive Zoom Link.
