About the Event
As a professional storyteller, Susan Stone has been captivating audiences for over 30 years. Jewish tales from Midrash, folklore and Hasidic sources performed with grace, Yiddishkeit, and humor, transport her listeners to experience the wealth of wisdom and pathos in oral tradition. Personal narratives are interwoven throughout, illuminating the tales for her listeners. She has performed in museums, schools and festivals all over the country, as well as in Warsaw, Lublin and Lodz, Poland. She is currently touring with "Sisters of Story", an interfaith storytelling program.
The event is free; donations are welcome. This event is in person and accessible remotely, and registration is required.
Susan Stone's stories appear in many anthologies and her two recordings of Jewish stories for children have been awarded Parents’ Choice Gold and Storytelling World Awards. Susan serves as a docent at the Illinois Holocaust Museum.
